About this site

On this site I try to highlight various topics with a lot of attention for technology. I have mainly built up the technical knowledge through my own experience. Despite the fact that microscopy follows the laws of physics, there is a lot of room for your own experiments. Practice often shows that certain principles are not that rigid at all. I have tried to emphasize the practicalities of microscopy without much optical theory. I think that there is already more than enough about the theory on the internet and I believe that you should put microscopy into practice without theorizing too much. I also tried to give this site a personal touch and not to follow the beaten path.

Microscopy is something that can be performed by anyone without the need for expensive and complex instruments. Very good results can be achieved with relatively simple microscopes and many simple models are even suitable for professional purposes.

The information on this site is intended for both beginners and more advanced users. The technique section could be particularly interesting for the latter group. In any case, I hope to convey some of my fascination with the microscopic world. It may inspire some people to try this exciting and educational hobby. But the most important thing is to have a lot of fun with it!

This site will be updated on a regular base and new information will be added.

If you discover an error while reading on this site, you can always report it. I am open to any improvements and suggestions are always welcome.
