My interest in the living world began early. As a child, I would sit looking through my older brother and sisters' biology books and became fascinated by everything related to plants and cells. When I was able to look through a microscope for the first time in the first year of secondary school, it was a true revelation for me. Not long after, I received a simple microscope, the toy-model type. The image quality was rather miserable, but that did not stop me from studying half the world with it. It would determine my future career choice. I work at a laboratory within a university medical center.

The fascination I had as a child is still there, and it will always remain.
